Hey guys, quick question, if one of the TPMs sensors is broken, can lets say Wheel Works install necessary sensor and program it to the car or does it have to be only McLaren TPMs sensor?
Not sure if it's the case with McLaren's, but I had an issue with my Tundra reading new sensors that had to be replaced. Unfortunately, they were replaced and then the tire was put on. No one told me I needed to reprogram them or anything like that. Toyota told me the only way to do it was to break the bead on the tire and get information off of the sensor.
I was in Discount Tire and asked one of the employees and he said that was false. They have a tool that can read the sensors and get them to sync with the car WITHOUT removing the tire, etc. AND they did it free of charge! Again, not sure if this applies here but figured I would share just in case.
Just to add to the thread--I can confirm the Titan TT-0011 sensors work on my 2012 12C with no issues. Plug and play. As of 7/17 they're $144/set at oewheels.
