2012 Car options, where can I find description of each?

I am in a market for the 2012 12C, I read about different optional packages that one or the other car comes with, but it does not really tells me what these options actually are. For instance, "stealth" package, what is it, what things it adds to the car?
So, basically, I wonder if you guys can list the options that you know of and what additions it gives to the car or maybe a site where I can find out about all these options?
Thank you.

For both the questions on options and looking for cars in the 150k range your best bet might be getting familiar with the forum search. For cheap cars, look on eBay. I know of 2 in Texas and one in Delaware that are in the 150s... Going back to the search thing though, poke around the forum a bit and you'll see you might be making some expensive trade offs by going for the cheapest car.

That's just a black finish -- instead of silver -- on the rings around the exhaust tips and the airbrake mounts.

The carbon-fiber pieces are exactly the same as the regular plastic pieces, just made from a different material; weight savings are minimal.

These are the options on my car; if you want to see photos of any of them, just ask. Prices for the options probably varied from year to year. The prices below are from my car's window sticker:

$2290 - Special Paint - Titanium Silver, Graphite Grey, Carbon Black, Sapphire Black, McLaren Orage, Mercury Red, Azure Blue, Racing Green
$2860 - Carbon Fiber Splitter - Lower edge of the front bumper
$2860 - Carbon Fiber Exterior Mirror Casings - Side mirrors (but not the arms)
$2860 - Carbon Fiber Turning Vanes - Central panels in the side vents
$4000 - Carbon Fiber Diffuser - Under the rear bumper
$2860 - Carbon Fiber Engine Covers - Top of the expansion tank and the intake manifold
$4000 - Carbon Fiber Engine Bay Panels - Right and left sides of the engine bay
$5430 - Sport Exhaust - No externally visible difference, but louder
$1030 - Stealth Pack - Black airbrake supports and exhaust-tip surrounds
$279 - Stealth Wheel Badges - Black carbon-fiber look "speedmark" (swoosh)
$120 - Stealth Front Badge - Black carbon-fiber look "speedmark" (swoosh)
$257 - Stealth Rear Badge - Chrome "McLaren" with black carbon-fiber look "speedmark" (swoosh)
$5140 - Super Lightweight Forged Wheels - Ten spokes
$13130 - Carbon Ceramic Brakes - Brembo CCM rotors
$1150 - Polished Brake Calipers - Shiny w/ black "McLaren"
$4000 - Custom Zoned Interior - Two-tone interior
$520 - Color Coordinated Steering Wheel - Upper and lower part of the wheel matches interior color
$4000 - Carbon Fiber Interior Upgrade - Door switches, steering-wheel spokes, center console
$3430 - Electric and Heated Memory Seats - Fore/aft, recline, height, lumbar; easy-entry automatic retraction when door is opened
$4000 - Carbon Fiber Seat Backs - For impressing your backseat passengers
$2860 - Carbon Fiber Sill Panels - Outer surface of the tub sill, visible only when the doors are open
$2860 - Carbon Fiber Wheel Arches - Back side of the front "mud flaps", visible only when the doors are open
$4795 - Premium Meridian Surround Sound Package - Three additional small speakers behind the seats
$2060 - Parking Sensors Front and Rear - Audible proximity warning
$400 - McLaren Branded Floor Mat Set - Metallic "McLaren" logo
$580 - Car Cover - For indoor use
$0 - Ashtray - Fits in the cupholder
$0 - Lithium-Ion Battery Charger - Not really an option; all cars came with one

Options that my car doesn't have, so prices are approximate. If you want photos of any of these, you'll have to ask someone else:

$5150 - Elite Paint - Pearl White, Supernova Silver, Ice Silver, Fire Black, Volcano Orange, Volcano Red
$685 - Body Color Splitter - Painted
$1040 - Contrast Color Splitter - Painted
$4000 - Lightweight Forged Wheels - Five-spoke "penis" wheels or five-spoke "petal" wheels

Most options are self explanatory I think, and almost all are aesthetic. The only options that actually do something are CCB (debatable in the real world,) and parking sensors (a must-have IMO.) Some cars may or may not have Iris 2.0 and/or a back-up camera, though it's highly unlikely a 2012 has Iris 2.0 because it would imply someone paid like $4K and then sold it quite soon after. Doubt many would waste the money on it if that was the case.

In short, just look at the pictures. You can tell if the car has CCBs and parking sensors, and the rest is just cosmetic. If you like how the car looks, the options will be pretty irrelevant unless you're just want options for the sake of having them.

The MSO options list is vast and they are pretty rare on 2012s, not to mention super expensive. I wouldn't expect to find many early cars with MSO options.

My 12C was ordered directly by the previous owner with assistance from Ron Dennis himself. This car was one of many in his collection with less than 1600 miles registered when I bought it. The reason I mention this is that Ron Dennis was asked by the owner (a major collector) to select all the options for him. Money wasn't an issue with this owner. He selected the special order Graphite Grey exterior; Body Color Splitter; Stealth Pac; Lightweight Forged Wheels - stealth finish; Full Leather interior in Saddle Tan / Carbon Black; Color Coordinated Steering Wheel; Contrast Stitching on Dash; Carbon Fiber interior upgrade; Electric/heated seats; Premium Meridian Surround Package; Parking Sensors f/b; Branded Floor Mats; plus all 2013 upgrades later w/ 616 hp etc. All told $30k in options but not all of them. The options list as previously noted is quite lengthy. Needless to say I'm very pleased with what he selected as options. As mentioned earlier, my guess is that this list may be closer to the norm? Hope this helps
