"Some bloke on the telly said the MP4-12C doesn't do sideways - Harris begs to differ"

Already over 200 comments on the YouTube page and almost everyone positive.

Like the Drive camera work, slow sweeping shots that let you look and appreciate what you are looking at, not the usual millisecond flash that may be very dramatic, but totally useless.

Monkey Harris must be out there as one of the best motoring journo’s in the world.

Added bonus for me was seeing him drive it round my home town and no doubt he covered more miles in 5 days than I have done in the past month!

Up above the streets and houses.

thank you for posting this. My dealer sent me a load of pictures today of my car getting final prep before Friday's delivery, and this vidoe has now got me foaming at the mouth to get my hands on it! Harris's thoughts are exactly mine, this is a car to put thousands of mile on; none of the Prancing Pony's concern that if its driven it loses value - just get out and enjoy the crap out of it every day. I cannot wait!

You're in for such a treat, Tex! Yes, Harris nailed the duality in his vid. I just crossed 1500km on mine tonight and had a lucky first time 12C passenger along for the ride. I started off in full auto, Normal x2 and he couldn't believe it when I told him this is a 600hp car. So I flipped the dials to Track, Pre-cogged down four gears and ripped the highway a new a$$hole. Beyond entertaining.

Great video - certainly does the car justice.

And to think - McLaren has something even better up their sleeve.

Something even higher performance, yes. But I don't think we'll see another car that betters the breadth of capabilities until the 12C's replacement comes out. It's funny, after driving it for a month, most of the things on my wish list have nothing to do with performance, but rather some preferences that would make the car even more usable day to day. It really does change the way you look at a supercar. Problem is, it spoils you too, as I haven't much desire to drive anything else now!

Chris hit the nail on the head! I specially agree on the "creeping" of the car at low speed. That, in combination with a hard, deep brake pedal have provided several close calls in pulling into my garage. It takes plenty of practice!

Excellent video and great review from Chris. He seems to genuinely like the car and I bet he enjoys it more than an RS 4.0.

Great review, and it seems we are both locked into the Mclaren ethos/brand,i havent driven anything else in the last 6 months, and have no need or desire to do so,also looking at the other blogs many of the unbelievers are changing their minds and seeing some of the jurnos for what they really are!!
And we still have Doris too come
