I think most cars have minor glitchs that we can all cope with,it really dosent stop the enjoyment of the car as so far the important things seem to be very robust.
I suspect most of these issues will be cleared up when they have to fully re-boot the car with the addition of Doris

Andy,

I can honestly say that this does not bother me a bit. When it was happening, i just kept the passenger belt fastened.

Since the upgrade with early cars any minor problems ive had pale into insignificance, nothing fazes me with this car now, everything can be logically worked through, not everyones idea of a £200k car,but it works for me

All you have to do is go drive it, and any issues quickly fade...

After 100 miles in the car this afternoon, my impression is that I need another 200 to make any sort of judgment.

The car is blindingly fast and grips for days - and the feel of the grip is entirely different than the feel of grip in my Cayman. It's hard to explain. The Cayman makes you feel like a racecar driver at the edge of grip, and stays steady. The 12C just goes, "Meh, GIVE IT MORE GAS!" In my first pass through my favorite corners, the 12C matched my best speeds in the R, so there's yet another 10-15 mph to get out of it once I seat the brakes and break in the tires. On a side comp, the ground clearance is pretty much identical, except instead of scrapping nose, I scrape the rubber bumpers. Which is nice.

My only gripe (aside from Doris) is how loud that carbon tub resonates the bot dots. Scared the shit out of me for a few minutes before I realized what was happening.

Lunchtime in downtown Palo Alto (heart of Silicon Valley, in some regards) was hilarious - wave after wave of people taking pics. And wave after wave of people asking me if I was a tech, since there is no way they'd believe someone like me actually had just bought the car. I haven't stopped laughing!

Current rides: MP4-12C, 2012 Porsche Cayman R, 2006 supercharged Tacoma X-Runner, 2011 Ducati Hypermotard EvoS

Waiting on: Ducati 1199S Panigale

Previous rides: 2008 Cayman S, 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP-560

Awesome HyperMac!! Congrats buddy! Yeah, the sound of the carbon tub takes some getting used to!

It is funny how the car seems to taunt you, isn't it? "C'mon, is that all you've got?" Every time I back off the throttle and the wastegate hisses, I swear it is saying "pussy!".

Hyper the carbon tub dosent get any quieter, you soon get used to it,but i think everyone thinks something is falling off first timeI tend to find myself telling passengers whats going to happen first so they dont have a buttock clenching moment, but thats usually after the look of fear as i hit the gas in second coming off a roundabout
