Have you used their dryers before, or is this a brand new product?

Thanks.

There are detailers down here but it's always better to use someone who is
recommended... I think there is one at the Top Gear track at Dunsfold but I don't know anyone who has used them.
As for £24K pot of wax, I will stick to Gtechniq
If you are coming south, just pm me ( Car due for delivery sometime in mid march )
What colour have you gone for? Should be fine as we have our 200w halide and inspection lamps, most my work is in garages. Paul @miricle detail is good and got a nice studio see a mclaren f1 detail he did on a freshly painted car I reckon about 2-5k for this.

I haven't used the dryer yet but many good reviews and est 1939 and are a USA based company www.cardryer.com

I don't mind travelling its all about building my customer portfolio and creating exceptional results at realistic prices.

Autogeek carries 'em; if you ever decide you want one let me know, I order from them all the time. I'm thinking about getting one but given what I already have it might just be the urge for new toys.

DOS - great work on the car in the original post. Maybe I will give gtechniq another shot!

Thought I would pop by and say hello as I am Mclaren London`s official detailer and they offer my crystal coating and wax treatment. So far 14 have been treated there by me. Have a chat with Alistair Sommerville or Mark Wooten, as your delivery is soon they will be making you aware of the treatments we can offer through them to protect your new Mclaren.

Kind regards,

Jason Brough

I have seen Jason Brough's work and it is first class.

When he showed me a car I said ' Oh there is a line where Venture Shield starts'. 'no thats where I've detailed up to'

Amazing as it was like a glass finish. Very impressive.

I must say I am blown away by the car but dissapointed by the paint finish. I did not have the additional polish as I thought the finish would be superior to any other manufacturer as it is proclaimed that it is hand finished and individually inspected but I think the finish is poor lots of swirl marks and some holograming, will have to have the paintwork corrected which I do feel should not be necessary perhaps more noticable as the car is black. Seeing Alistair on Wednesday see what he says
Also on another note the radio reception is crap hope they sort this out with the Iris upgrade even my six year old asked what was wrong with it

I`m sorry to hear about the swirl marks and hologram issues that are on your brand new Mclaren. I don`t get to see or touch a customers car unless they select the Brough & Howarth new car protection treatment Mclaren London offer but as you say you shouldn`t have to just to make sure your paintwork is perfect. It should be like that from the factory.

When car manufactures choose to go down the route of hand finishing paintwork, problems like this can arise. When the final sign off inspection is carried out on cars before they are released the car is normally coated in a basic glaze product that will protect the car for a couple of weeks and this can also mask any swirl marks or holograms that may remain in the paint. However once this glaze wears off, usually after a few washes, any swirls or hologrammes that were not spotted/visable on the final inspection will become evident. I see this on other brands such as Aston Martin and Rolls Royce.

I`m sure when you speak with Alistair on wednesday about this problem he will bend over backwards to rectify the paintwork issues you are having and more than likely he will have me carry out a treatment on your car to correct your paint so it perfect.

Kind regards,

Jason

Hi Jason
Yes spoke with Alistair today and as you suggested he offered to correct any problems with the paint. The more I deal with this company the more I like them, they don't make an issue out of a problem just get on with solving it. Top marks again to Mclaren London they all deserve credit for being top boys !
Also on a side note re the radio reception Mclaren are aware that the antenne in the screen is not working to its best but have an up date in the pipe line

hi just a update from DOS i have just finished a few more cars and now im one of a handful of detailers been using gtechniqs new EXO hybrid coating, this is much slicker feel to it once applied and

As much as x3 durability on water beading (contact angle of 80o after 600 wash cycles vs C1 which showed 32 o)

· Significantly slicker feel

· Higher gloss levels

· Water spots are much easier to remove

· 15% better UV absorption capacity

120 degree bead angle

· ALSO WORKS ON GLASS, FABRIC, STONE! As good as if not better than our
stand alone products
