Sorry, but IMHO the MP4-12C just does not look right in red.

Mine arrived last week at McLaren Newport Beach. I'm waiting for the full clear wrap to be done, and then I'll take it home!

I do wish there were more flat/solid paint options. The metallics are all nice, but being a very aerodynamic form, the 12C is guaranteed to look great in flat/solid colours, like an aircraft or boat does. |

![]() Thanks very much! Me being a guy who doesn't typically care for red, strangely I really like that. From the start I said McLaren needed a solid red on the color chart. They might need a good Yellow too, but perhaps they prefer to steer people interested in that towards McLaren Orange instead? Of course if they can pull in an extra $25,000 for these special paint options then perhaps it's best to maximize those profits instead. ![]() >8^) ER |

The car is titanium silver. Full carbon, including some MSO pieces. I'll post pics once I have the car.

I hope that boat full of McLarens that has delivered all these cars to the California dealers happened to have mine.
[fingers crossed]The Rosso red is just wrong to me. The non-metallic orange looks quite good though. ha ha 2012 McLaren MP4-12C - 2011 Radical SR3 RS 2010 Rossion Q1-R Turbohoses 2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo Switzer P680 2010 Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum 2006 Ford F350 Turbo Diesel Dually 1999 Mazda Spec Miata 1996 & 1989 Ford Mustang Chump Cars Team Leader |
