At one of the Aston track days a few summers back there was a customer (from a different store) who brought his Dinan S3 e39 M5 (it had even been mildly tubbed in the back for bigger rubber, but looked bone-stock). IIRC he had 720 rwhp. He was a very skilled driver on top of it all, and so when he was on the track it was pretty much just a procession of who he was going to pass (DB9s, DBSs, F430s, V8Vantages). There'd be 20 people out turning laps, and he'd head out, and suddenly everyone was coming back in for a snack!

Very cool guy - I always thought he should roll the windows down and play Ride of the Valkyries while he was driving.

Because McLaren.

Hopefully you are coming out to the Lotus LOG event on 10/15. The Q1 is great, such a raw and rewarding car. The 12C will replace it as my road going sports car and the Q1 is getting a full Hoover race prep, tranny, engine, turbo, safety, aero, etc.... Should be fun.

That makes at least three Noble/Rossion people here who have had their cars improved by Hoover (includes me). My Elise is at Turbohoses now getting something unique. I don't have a 12C on order, but have something very special to show McLaren. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get through to them yet.

2005 Lotus Elise (track only); 2005 Noble M400; If it ain't Brit, it's sh!t.
