Believe it or not, we are coming to the end of our factory warranty!

Hi,

I know time passed very quickly, but yes we early 650s' are coming to end of warranty in less than a year. after reading couple of issues, I notice the common problem in 12c' transmission failure that could cost us a LOT.

I am trying to gather information from people who might know more, is this issue and probably other issues that 12c' had have been dealed well by mclaren for our 650s.

I am also preparing myself to get the 2 year extended warranty, but what kind of deals are we expecting for the 2 years warranty. I am certain that most 12c owners would not own their car without a warranty, is it the same way here for the newer 650s' owners?

since my 1,5 years of ownership I've done 3 trips to dealer because of issues (excluding service), most of them are stupid short 2 hours fix, and one common coolant hose which is now covered with the better stuff.

,,

Hmm, I thought you were selling for a 'quick sale'.

Change of plan, might be keeping the car, so need to reconsider this way now,

Dealer Service Manager told me he didn't think it was worth the £3,500 as the 650S is rock solid and does not suffer same issues as early 12C.
I appreciated his honesty as it would of been easier for him to give me the hard sell

Or he's looking at the bigger picture, and collecting a bigger payday when something goes wrong out of warranty.

2015 Lamborghini LP610-4
2017 Lamborghini Aventador S (ordered)
2018 Lexus LC 500 (ordered)

that makes a lot of sense, I heard that 650s warranty will be cheaper as it is newer and more reliable..

He would get paid either way so I doubt he would think like that and risk the wrath of a customer later

I've not heard of any different prices from those quoted for 12C
