Question Beeping?

I have long stop lights in my area. So I pull up to stop light, foot on brake (auto off is not on). After about 8 seconds, get a beep. Oh, maybe it's telling me I can take my foot off the brake and it will stay put until i put my foot on the gas? Nope, take my foot off the brake and it rolls forward. Put my foot on the brake, get a beep after around 8 seconds. Ignore it. Then every 5 seconds or so get random 2-5 beeps until I drive away. What is this about?

Are there any other cars near you? I've noticed that the parking sensors are super sensitive and that they often beep when I'm stopped at lights if another car is a bit close.

I get this too but haven't had the OP's issue of beeps every 8 secs? The parking sensors are always on unlike most other cars where you need to engage reverse or for the fronts push a button if not reversing.

If it is the same beep as the proximity sensors I'd still try the suggestion of pushing the button to turn them off. If that fixes it, at least you've narrowed down the culprit. As others have said, they can be a bit sensitive. I've had mine start beeping for leaves, low curbs, and any number of times that I'm not sure why they're going off. If it is every 8 seconds after a stop, like clockwork, that's screwy.

It's the parking sensors. Happens to me too even though cars are far away. Wind, exhaust, etc will set them off.

Holy smokes wind and exhaust will set them off? Any way to turn down sensitivity?
